Print area 278 x 180mm. Print run 15. Printed on Winsor and Newton smooth cartridge paper 220gsm.
Without our friends Les and Claudine, who took us to Snettisham for the spectacle, Murmuration would not exist. Sadly the tides were not quite in our favour, but we did see a mini event! Artistic license is a great thing though! This was the most ambitious lino cut that I had done - and I will admit there were times I wondered if I had started more than I could finish. The sky and the birds needed two plates, one in in relief and the other impressed. I’m glad I persevered though as off set colours, leaving white, gives a feel of the movement of the birds. And yes, we are definitely going back to watch the main event, not just the trailer!
Due to the nature of hand printing there will be some minor differences between prints.
