The Thaw - Heat momentarily spilling from a grey sky comes as a surprise. Still weakened the sun swells with pride at its temporary dominance over the frozen day. Across the lake ice cracks and shifts with the promise of something new starting. The Thaw investigates two contrasting colour palettes and the balance between them. Elements of permanence are created with pigment wash, mono print and various mark making techniques, whilst changeable elements are in the form of suspended, translucent shapes.
