The Flatlands - The heat sinks into the land at the end of a hot day. Smells both earthy and woody rise up from the sun scorched fields. The earth lies fallow as summer ends and plants strike sculptural poses as they crisp and dry. The Flatlands is a mixed media piece incorporating pigment wash, mono print and suspended thread drawing.
