Seagrass - salt licks the air, gulls’ cries cary away on the shifting breeze and yet the sea cannot be seen. The walk follows roughly worn track of many footsteps, now you see me now you don’t, around corners then down a lane. Finally across the open land and upwards to the reedy dunes with their promise of the sea. This piece is reliant on the simplicity of its elements - pigment wash, mono print and thread drawing - to convey its sense of tranquility.
This piece is framed in limed obeche
